So how do I make these tiles you want to know?
I use a laser jet copy; turn the copy over on top
of
the tile, then burnish the back of the image with acetone. Because the marble is porous
and the chemical reaction of the ink and the acetone the image is permanently transferred to the tile.
I then seal the tile with a matte, satin, or glossy finish.
The tiles can be used as coasters, if you would like to use
the tiles for coaster let me know
I have some clear rubber pads I will put on the back for you.
The tiles are also a small work of art on their own merit; each tile also comes with a display
stand. The marbled tile has a unique surface and each image placed on the tile will be different.
It will have an antique quality about it.
I’m also available for custom orders and can put any image on a tile that you like.
Take a look at some of the examples of photographs to tiles on another page.
